Samui beach Village is located on
Natien Beach, a large unspoilt sandy beach just south of the tourist
destination of Lamai and the fishing village Ban Hua Thanon. It is off
the beaten track with some nice and cozy beach front Thai resorts. The
sandy beaches stretching in both directions along the coast never
disappoints any tourists who seek for peace and privacy. Apart from the
beautiful natural scenery, the tourists are also drawn to the original
lifestyle of the local fishermen.
Dining venues can be found along the beach and a short walk would take
you to the seafood restaurants of Hua Thanon. There are also the
resorts of X2, a new 5* resort, and Orchid Resort on either side of
Samui Beach Village. For shoppers, a 5 minute drive to Lamai or 25
minutes to Chaweng will satisfy your quests for international shopping
and local bargains.
While the calm sea is very pleasurable for water sports and swimming
during the winter season, the spring/summer solstice effects on the
tides and regularly the water retracts itself from then shore. The
water may therefore not be swimmable as the reef is dry for up to 100m,
this opens the beach and reef up to all sorts of other activities such
as simply exploring the rock pools and collecting shellfish, a safe and
ideal exciting activity for children.
