Chaweng Beach

The most famous of all of Samui’s beaches, there are masses of bathing bodies in the day, and a crowd of party-goers by night. There are plenty of amenities and facilities close at hand, with shops bars and restaurants, on what is still on one of Thailand’s finest beaches.

Lamai Beach

Lamai is Chaweng’s smaller sister, another soft white sandy beach with decent swimming and flourishing tropical scenery in abundance, but with slightly less developed in terms of the big international resorts and chains.

Big Buddha Beach

Named after the huge golden statue that sits noticeably at its southern tip, Big Buddha Beach is one of Samui’s calmer beaches. It’s proximity to Koh Samui Airport makes it a popular first and last stop on trips to all of the three local islands.

Bophut Beach

Bophut was once a simple fishing village, and still retains its charm while developing into a fashionable centre for shopping and dining, as well as an elegant and peaceful place to stay – good for couples and families.

Mae Nam Beach

Maenam Beach is a long stretch of wide beach on Koh Samui’s north coast facing Koh Phangan. It has long been a popular destination for budget travellers but now also attracts a more salubrious clientele, thanks mainly to the presence of some expensive residential developments.

Ban Tai Beach

Ban Tai and its surroundings includes a series of small and longer sandy bays that run from the western-most point of Mae Nam through to the north-west corner of Koh Samui, a peaceful part of the island.

Taling Ngam Beach

Taling Ngam Beach is famous for its views over to the Five Islands, the main land and the sunsets over the Marine Park.

Bang Por Beach

The beach is very picturesque with stunning views over to Koh Phangnan, a beautiful white sandy beach with good swimming waters. Thanks to the refreshing breezes over the Gulf of Siam, the location is also ideal for all year round sailing.

Choeng Mon Beach

Choeng Mon Beach enjoys a quieter ambiance with many private villas and houses as well as all types of hotels and resorts along its cove beach.

Laem Set Beach

Laem Set Beach is situated on the south coast of the Koh Samui island. While the south coast is very relaxing there is no shopping or nightlife nearby though it is only a 20mins drive to Lamai or 40mins to Chaweng.

Laem Sor Beach

This stretch of beach has just a few private beach villas scattered about allowing it to retain its tropical serenity. Since these villas are few and far between, be sure to book well in advance if you have your heart set on a Laem Sor holiday this year.

Lipa Noi Beach

Lipa Noi Beach offers a more serene ambiance with outstanding sunsets over the Marine Park. Tongyang beach boasts soft, white sand flanked by endless lines of coconut plantations and is a great place for sunsets. Far from the noise and bustle, the surrounding atmosphere is peaceful and attractive.

Samui Beach Village

Samui Beach Village, is beach beading along the Southern bay of the island never disappoints any tourists who seek for peace and privacy. Apart from the beautiful natural scenery, the tourists are also drawn to the original lifestyle of the local fishermen.
