From professional international golf to an array of fun and friendly golf spin-offs, Koh Samui is an idyllic and entertaining golf holiday destination in Thailand. Here’s the basics of what you need to know for you Koh Samui golf holiday.

Santiburi Samui Country Club – Koh Samui’s lading golf course and country club, set amidst rolling hills with startling drops, tropical flora, and dramatic views over Maenam and beyond… in other words, it’s tricky. Bangkok Airways holds a yearly tournament here. Each hole is at a different elevation. The back nine is more challenging than the front nine,, but there are several par threes and short par fours included in the course to help keep your score down. The par 72 course was designed by Piraporn Namatra and plays 6461 yards.

Bophut Hills Golf Course - a 9 hole Pirapon Namatra designed course that is rarely busy and good for starters. The greens are of fine quality, the caddies helpful, and there’s a new clubhouse with full bar, restaurant and amenities.
Royal Samui Golf & Country Club – the latest addition to the Koh Samui golfing scene, the Royal Samui Golf & Country Club in the hills between Lamai and Chaweng is a professional course with a golf academy, a club house with international cuisine and exclusive spa treatments, luxury villas overlooking the course, conference facilities and a children’s crèche.

Mini Golf International - Thailand's only professional mini golf course and a Member of the World Mini-Golf Federation, is set in the jungle above Choeng Mon. It’s a great visit if you take fun golf seriously.

Frisbee Golf – the highly popular sport from the USA is now in Bophut, in beautiful hillside surroundings and a horse riding ranch nearby. There’s a bar for pre and post round refreshments and a weekly barbeque. As in traditional golf, there are drivers and putters, 18 holes, obstacles and frustrations, but it’s all in good spirit.

Football Golf – a great way to practice your football skills and get some exercise in the sunshine, Football Golf is located in Choeng Mon and is great fun for the whole family. Water is available on site.

Treasure Island Mini-Golf - Located behind Gringos Cantina at Chaweng Beach Road, this18 holes of fun for adults and kids features up hill playing, a crocodile, a whale and tiger and a bar.

Driving Range – Located in Bophut, the Koh Samui driving range is a good place to limber up your swing.

Koh Samui Golf Shops – these are scattered around the island with key shops in Chaweng and as part of the Santiburi Golf Course clubhouse.
